Homes
In order to ensure that the homes built in the Manor at Mill Creek reflect the forested beauty of the land, an architectural theme labeled "Costal Country" has been created specifically for this community. While not restricted to any particular house style, the "Costal County" theme combines "Old World" and southern design with superior craftsmanship to evoke a certain casual elegance. Architectural design guidelines have been carefully drafted to, among other things, protect existing trees, require the use of natural materials like stone and brick, and encourage the incorporation of design details not usually found on the typical house (i.e. working shutters, window boxes, pergolas, etc.). Furthermore, The Manor encourages the use of environmentally “green” materials, construction techniques, and landscaping.

Builders
Unlike many high end communities, The Manor does not require that you use any particular builder. You are welcome to use any builder you choose and The Manor at Mill Creek will work with both you and your builder to ensure that your dream home becomes a reality. Most homesites will accommodate 4-5 bedroom homes which back up to conservation areas. There are also homesites that can be used for walk-out level homes.
If you do not have a builder, we have partnered with Bill Clark Homes, a well-known regional builder, who is currently building three model homes but offer seven different home plans designed to be individually customized. Exterior finishes include stone or brick accents with fiber board cement but can be all brick, all stone, or a combination of both. View Photo Gallery of Bill Clark Homes available
Homesite #25

Sheltered by deep overhangs and a wraparound porch in classic “low country” style, Tideland Haven was named “Best New Home” in the Southern Living 2002 Southern Home Awards. This home’s 2,400 plus square feet flow freely through the foyer, kitchen and dining alcove. Maximizing natural light, French doors with transoms above allow sunlight to enter the interiors for an open and spacious feeling. The owner/builder of this home, Encore Construction, expects to begin construction in late 2010, and in keeping with the design of the other homes in The Manor at Mill Creek, will be using a combination of stone, Hardiboard, and/or shingles for the exterior facades.
